A sweet and sunlit spring day in Tiffany and Cat's new neighborhood.

I first met Tiffany and Cat at a particularly scorching Fourth of July holiday barbecue through our foodie pals, Brooke and Barrett. I knew friendship was inevitable after my first conversation with the newlyweds once I learned that Cat had an innate ability to identify literally EVERY mushroom west of the Mississippi (ok, east of it too) while Tiffany rattled off the properties and techniques of her latest microbrewing masterpiece. We became fast friends. Naturally.

Fast forward to seven months, countless dinner parties and three major holidays full of exclusive brew drinking and handcrafted mycological themed dinners - and Tiffany and Cat found themselves ready to trade in their tiny apartment for a house more supportive of their cultivating and crafting lifestyle.

The two had known that homeownership was in their future, so they set their sights early on saving for their down payment on their future urban farm. Not more than one month after beginning their search and only several offers later, these aggressive buyers landed on the house that rivaled every home they toured: a move-in ready Ranch, planked in original oak floors and kitchen updates on a superbly oversized lot. Convenient to commuter lines, urban nature area with hiking trails and steps from the nearest park, its location offers a great balance of urban amenities and neighborhood charm.

Up next for the college biologist and craft brewer: planter boxes full of edible bounty of all varieties, an enviable garage brewing station and a walk-up bar window. Future post to follow this one!
