And according to the Humane Society, nearly 80 million American households call one or more fur babies family members and every year that number continues to rise. The city of Portland boasts 33 public off-leash dog parks within the city limits, nine of which are fenced, reducing the chances of your escape artist getting into mischief. Park hours vary depending on the time of year, but they tend to be busier during rush hours.
